2009-2010 Zone II Rule Changes

Please note these important rule changes that will take effect this season! These rules were proposed and ratified at the 7/21/2009 Zone II meeting.

Soccer:

  • Tots – Now 6 on 6 with no goalie.
  • Tiny & Pee Wee – Now 8 on 8.

Flag football:

  • Tots will now be able to form a team at their level and are eligible to play – they will be playing under the same rules as Tinys.
  • Defensive lineman line up one yard off the ball before the snap.

Volleyball Net Heights:

  • Tiny and Pee Wee – 6 foot 4 inches
  • Mite and Cubs – 7 foot 4 inches

Softball:

  • Coaches pitch softball will now use RIF-10 safety balls instead of RIF-5. These are bouncier than RIF-5s. Worth, the manufacturer of RIF softballs is no longer making RIF-5 softballs, so we were forced to change this rule.

Don’t forget: CYO fall sports registration is now in progress!
